Land of the Dead

The final Blockbuster movie was Land of the Dead. You know how I love zombies and John Leguizamo. Well this has both. And true to zombie films there was lots of unnecessary violence. It was great.

This time I was rooting for the zombies instead of the people. The film did lend itself to that. I mean, zombies want respect too!

Oh yes John Leguizamo looked great.

  1. Does John do his Sid the Sloth voice?

  2. I watched the film when it came out in cinema! For me, it wasn’t that great! I had watched Dawn of the Dead the previous year, and think that’s more scary/gory than this one!

  3. No Sid the Sloth voice–sorry.

Dawn of the Dead is definitely more scary than Land of the Dead, but the gore didn’t seem completely unnecessary. In Land of the Dead the ripping people appart seemed completely unnecessary and gory. I don’t think Land of the Dead was suppose to be the same kind of scary, it’s more about society a la Shaun of the Dead and how scary basic human nature is. Just me though.
